MVTV is your island Television Station. Martha’s Vineyard Community Television is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that is controlled and operated by island residents. MVTV consists of not one but three channels, a cable-access model familiarly known as PEG (public, education, government). Public, Education and Government access TV provides the public with access to the use of television, via the cable television network, as a way to reach other members of their community and to learn more about digital technology.
Martha’s Vineyard Community Television (MVTV) is a non-profit, member-based media center dedicated to serving the island’s diverse community. As the official public, educational, and governmental (PEG) access provider for Martha’s Vineyard, MVTV gives everyone a voice—residents, students, creators, and civic leaders alike.
We believe that access to media is access to power. Our mission is to empower the community through training, tools, and airtime so that local stories, ideas, and voices can be seen and heard.
